The Environmental Working Group is a fantastic resource for information about toxins in our environment and how to avoid them. I find their Shopper's Guide, which rates food on safety, nutritional value, and cost, and their Dirty Dozen which ranks food on the likelihood to contain pesticides especially useful.


Nationwide more and more people are living longer. The likelihood of needing assistance in our "Golden" years increases the longerlived we are. While there are a lot of potential sources of care, it can be difficult to decide what level of care is best and most affordable. Caring.com has put together a wonderful guide of the nursing homes and assisted living options in Washingtong. The videos guide you through Chinese Medical Nutrition, and how to eat in accordance with the seasons. I'm sure you have heard Hippocrates quote of having your food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food. This is a core concept in Chinese Medicine as well. This video series gives great advice on how to use your food as medicine.
